OnePlus Nord 5 to Offer High-End Specs at Low Price

OnePlus has officially announced that the OnePlus Nord 5 will debut in India on July 8. The upcoming smartphone is confirmed to feature Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor and LPDDR5X RAM, underlining the company's strategy to deliver high-end performance in its mid-range Nord series.

The Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, coupled with LPDDR5X memory, positions the Nord 5 as a competitive option for mobile gamers. According to OnePlus, the device will support gameplay at up to 144fps, offering advanced frame rates typically reserved for premium-tier phones.

Although not officially confirmed by the brand, industry insiders expect the Nord 5 to carry a 6.83-inch AMOLED display. It is rumored to have a resolution of 1,272 x 2,800 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate, catering to users who prioritize fluid screen performance.

Reports suggest that the device will feature a dual-lens configuration at the back, led by a 50MP primary camera and an 8MP ultra-wide sensor. On the front, a 50MP selfie camera is anticipated, designed to support high-quality video calling and self-portraits.

The smartphone is likely to be released in two RAM options—8GB and 12GB—paired with either 256GB or 512GB of internal storage. These variants aim to offer users flexibility depending on their storage needs and multitasking preferences.

The Nord 5 is expected to come with an IP65 rating, offering dust resistance and limited water protection. The handset may weigh around 211 grams and measure approximately 163.41 x 77.04 x 8.1mm. Leaked renders hint at three possible color options: Dry Ice, Marble Sands, and Phantom Grey.

Unofficial sources estimate the price to be close to Rs 30,000. However, OnePlus has yet to disclose the official pricing. Final details are expected at the launch event.
